Junior Air Duct Technician

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Junior Air Duct Technician to support our field crews on residential and commercial service calls. No experience is necessary — this is an entry-level position with a real path forward for the right person.
Position Overview
The Junior Air Duct Technician works alongside our Lead Technicians to support daily air duct and dryer vent cleaning service calls. This role is physical, hands-on, and fast-paced, and requires no prior trade or duct cleaning experience — all technical skills are taught on the job. We’re looking for someone reliable, coachable, and ready to work hard, with the goal of progressing into a full Technician role over time.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Lead Technician with setup and breakdown of equipment on each job site.
• Help perform air duct and dryer vent cleaning services under the direction of the Lead Technician (full training provided).
• Carry, organize, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Help protect customer homes and businesses during service (drop cloths, shoe covers, work area setup).
• Assist with basic customer interaction professionally and courteously.
• Load and unload company vehicles at the start and end of each day.
• Keep company vehicles and equipment clean and organized.
• Follow all safety protocols, including ladder safety and proper PPE use.
• Learn the technical side of the trade on the job, with the goal of progressing toward a full Technician role.
Required Qualifications
The following qualifications are mandatory. Applications without these will not be considered.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day and perform physical work in varied environments (attics, crawl spaces, basements, rooftops, etc.).
• Reliable and punctual — able to be at the shop or job site on time every scheduled day.
• Comfortable working on ladders (training provided; no prior ladder experience required, but comfort with heights is essential).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
No Experience Necessary
This is an entry-level position and a great fit for candidates coming from landscaping, warehouse work, moving, construction labor, retail, food service, or any job requiring physical stamina and reliability. We provide full training on the technical side of the work.
Growth Path
Junior Technicians who demonstrate reliability, work ethic, and a willingness to learn have a clear path to a full Technician role, and from there toward Lead Technician and Field Supervisor positions as 3 Wave Cleaning continues to grow.
Compensation & Schedule
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18 – $20 / hr
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, some Saturdays
Benefits: Paid time off, 401K, and other benefits
